Celebrated every March, the festival offers a powerful space for transformation, learning, and inner awakening.\n\nIn this article, we revisit the incredible experience of IYF 2018, where over 2,000 participants from 100+ countries came together to celebrate unity through yoga, meditation, music, and devotion.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-218ed0c elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"218ed0c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Ganga Maiyaa \u2013 The Divine Mother<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5dbc924 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5dbc924\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>On the evening of March 4, 2018, I sat on the banks of Ganga Maiyaa \u2014 our divine mother. In northern India, Ganga is not just a river. She is our nurturer, our guide, and for seekers, a powerful spiritual force. From rituals to farming, life here flows with her waters. For the yogi, she is Devi \u2014 the giver of silence, stillness, and spiritual connection.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c72c9f3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"c72c9f3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Yoga Beyond the Mat at IYF 2018<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-62b288e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"62b288e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The International Yoga Festival Rishikesh 2018 offered more than just asana sessions. While I sat in meditation, the soft chants of mantras filled the air, and Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati\u2019s voice echoed across the ghat. Her message \u2014 \u201cYou are Yoga\u201d \u2014 stayed with me long after. Surrounded by hundreds of seekers in silence, I felt a deep inner alignment that words fail to describe.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2e6eafd elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"2e6eafd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">A Gathering of Global Seekers<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-50f31ee elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"50f31ee\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Over 70 master teachers, including Anand Mehrotra and Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, led powerful morning practices. The festival was officially inaugurated on March 3 by Hon\u2019ble Vice President Shri Venkaiah Naidu. Every day offered a new opportunity to learn, grow, and connect \u2014 with self and others.<\/p><p>The true highlight? The Ganga Aarti.
