Implementation commences May 1 2020, so there is still plenty of time to learn and adapt them to your business.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why have there been changes?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Section J6 of the NCC has been revised to reach significant increases in energy efficiency and thus the changes aim to reduce greenhouse emissions and decrease building costs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What are the changes?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Track lighting requirements have been simplified<\/li>\n<li>Elevator lighting must be switched off after 15 mins<\/li>\n<li>Motion\u00a0detectors must\u00a0be\u00a0used\u00a0to\u00a0control\u00a0lighting in\u00a0the\u00a0fire\u00a0stairs\/passageways\/ramps<\/li>\n<li>Illumination Power Density (IPD &#8211; watts per square metre required to light a space) allowances have been reduced<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To get a copy of more information and the full list of changes, please get in contact with us on 1300 083 238 or email rfq@csgau.com<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you know the new National Construction Code (NCC) J6 changes and what they will mean for your business?
